Job Description

Provider Account Manager
Grow revenue and improve company margins through the effective and active management of key provider partner relationships for the business units.  Provides timely and accurate information, reports and analysis concerning the growth objectives for assigned accounts.   Cultivates strong provider partner relationships resulting in additional revenue and increased margins.  Manages provider performance, SLA objectives and quality improvement for accounts.  Serves as an active member of the Provider Relations team.


• Works independently and collaboratively with the Provider Relations team to optimize revenue with both existing and out of network providers
• Grow revenue base associated with provider directed referrals through regular face to face meetings, supplemented by e-mails, phone conferences and other contact opportunities
• Work to identify and expand relationship with providers with focus on work comp aspects of their businesses
• Ensure quality components of service delivery and patient/carrier satisfaction with services provided
• Ensure quality assurance, customer satisfaction and account growth through strategic contact and follow up
• Act as key contact on accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with home offices, key contacts and regional managers within assigned accounts
• Provide accurate reports, tracking resolution of provider issues and facilitate resolution for payment issues
• Performs revenue and margin analysis and acts as a business development liaison to ensure growth for both the provider and OCCM
• Performs analysis on out of network utilization, uses data to identify revenue/business development opportunities
• Works closely with Network Management department to ensure vendor compliance with contracts as well as OCCM’s billing and other protocols
• Facility product service training presentations to OCCM associates when requested
• Present One Call at local industry conferences and trade shows establishing new contacts and appoints for future revenue growth.  
• Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by management


College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the workers compensation industry or similar field.  Prior experience with multi-tasking and deadline requirements, including a proven ability to meet sales objectives preferred.


• Ability to travel within designated geographic area
• Prior network development experience within the Healthcare industry desired
• Inside sales, account management or customer service experience required
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing multiple tasks helpful
• Knowledge of business processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the overall satisfaction of the customer
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Typically supports Products/Services of Medium complexity. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new project or assignments. Typically requires 2 to 5 years of operations or field sales experience.
