Director of Data Management

SUMMARY:

Coordinate and manage the master data warehouse with regards to loading and maintaining accuracy of Customer Accounts, Products/Services, Customer Pricing rules and rates, HCPCS and Injury Coding, as well as other Claims management related activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prioritize multiple deliverables to meet predetermined deadlines accurately and efficiently
  • Uphold and improve current data management practices already in place as well as identify other areas for improvement to master data
  • Provide vision and expertise on the master data set with regards to architecture, format and support of enterprise integration which aligns with achieving business goals
  • Expertise and leadership in the master data management disciplines of data governance, data quality and master data integration and architecture
  • Skilled in defining system specifications and working with both Business and IS/IT representation
  • Ensure central control of master data to support companywide quality standards and procedures, including consistent data maintenance to ensure master data harmonization
  • The position requires mastering current software in use as well as data architecture and other key aspects of the enterprise master data warehouse and data maintenance processes
  • Seasoned project management leadership of multi-discipline initiatives
  • Motivated, self-starting individual with determination to reach agreed upon departmental and business goals while promoting a team oriented environment
  • Experience with design and implementation of best practices and process improvements


NON-ESSENTIAL:

  • Assumes other tasks and duties assigned by management
  • Attend management/leadership training sessions
  • Leads department meetings to update staff of new projects, policy changes, or any other updates


WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets, databases, reports and analysis, and ability to develop meaningful reports in a variety of formats
  • Healthcare industry experience desired


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems required
  • AAPC Professional Coding Certification preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel , PowerPoint, Visio etc.
  • Advanced proficiency of database applications SQL Server
  • Proficiency with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 software
  • Problem solving skills
  • Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High energy, motivated, proactive self-starter
  • Excellent organization skills
