Director Data Conversion

This is a leadership position that requires establishing the strategy to manage and drive the execution for all the Data Conversion processes. The successful candidate will manage the teams for Data Conversion working collaboratively with multiple areas of the organization to ensure the successful conversion of Master, Transactional, Provider, Warehouse, Product Catalog and Pricing Data from legacy applications to the appropriate future applications.


  • Develop the roadmap for all the data conversion teams and processes

  • Analyze and determine conversion/migration requirements and provide conversion specifications to programming to ensure predictable, consistent, and successful delivery

  • Drive and implement a repeatable data conversion strategy

  • Drive effective collaboration across all Business teams, cross track IT teams, to include development of a process with all teams to validate data conversion results

  • Partner with Business in support of strategy and planning

  • Move a strategy to a tangible plan and then to execution

  • Ensure data is converted into the appropriate format that fits the destination database

  • Identify automation opportunities for all areas of data conversion and drive to completion

  • Have the ability to translate business needs into solutions that scale both technically and operationally

  • Work with technical & business staff to develop field level data mappings to aid in data migration

  • Bachelor’s degree or four to six years related data conversion/migration experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong management and judgment skills including organizational, self-motivation and prioritization skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy required

  • Proven ability to deliver against project schedules and timelines with quality

  • Solid experience developing and implementing strategies that improve overall effectiveness of the delivery

  • Ability to work independently in an environment with fluid priorities and multiple stakeholders

  • Ability to interface with IT and understand/communicate requirements

  • Ability to ask incisive questions and challenge assumptions to uncover potential barriers to success

  • Results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to lead and influence  teams across the enterprise
