Construction Management Coordinator

Work with plans and specs to estimate all General Construction job costs, including labor, material, equipment, and specialty items necessary to complete the project. Develop scope, solicit, analyze and compare supplier proposals. Collaborate with provider network department to recruit and develop network of Home Modification providers. Grow as an effective team member of Home Modifications by ensuring adherence to customer service level agreements in relation to project scope and turn-around time. 

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
  • Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Presents prepared estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains cost database by entering and backing up data.
  • Coordinates customer facing phone calls to interface and communicate effectively the scope of work and timelines.
  • Collaborates with other members of the One Call Team to develop a Home Modification approach consistent  with workers’ comp and medical necessity.
  • Uses best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals.
  • Maintains the efficiency of important aspects of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, budget and risk assessment.
  • Provides management with forecasts of available resources and program status.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Source, vet and hire General and Subcontractors to complete projects.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification or active pursuit of certification preferred.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines, negotiation techniques to reach agreement through widely-differing viewpoints.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, familiar with HIPAA standards and assignments that are sensitive in nature.
  • Professional in appearance and speech.
  • Knowledge of estimation process.

Construction Management Coordinator

Knowledge of General Contracting and project management. Works on complex assignments that involve a high degree of risk, impacts to business unit performance and makes use of the individuals’ knowledge within Construction Estimation project management. Generally manages large projects or client programs of high risk, high complexity, high client and/or One Call visibility, and the relationship is strategic to the One Call portfolio. Works without supervision on the most complex projects.
