Compensation Manager

Under the direction of Human Resources Management, the Compensation Manager is responsible for the design, execution and management of System wide compensation programs (base and variable pay). Monitors the compliance of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures and recommends program revisions/enhancements which are consistent with compensation trends and business objectives

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides strategic compensation support and guidance to HR and Business leaders that helps influence compensation philosophy and initiatives
  • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of compensation programs that align with One Call's overall compensation strategy and support the achievement of business objectives through the management of base and variable pay programs, job evaluations, salary structure maintenance, and salary survey participation
  • Counsels management on pay decisions, compensation practices within local markets and for "hot" skill sets, and policy and guideline interpretation. Influences decision-making process and final outcome by providing detailed analysis/models, innovative recommendations, and expert advice to management and HR Business Partners
  • Develop and implement procedures and guidelines to ensure compensation programs are internally equitable and externally competitive
  • Classify and categorize job positions according to the level of responsibilities involved
  • Manage catalog market surveys for in-depth analysis on the compensation offered by competitors
  • Translation of regulatory and policy governance/requirements into clear guidance for business leaders
  • Leveraging corporate partners and firm-wide resources to achieve desired outcomes efficiently and with consistency across lines of business, where appropriate
  • Management of Compensation Analyst

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Liberal Arts, business, finance, related discipline or equivalent combination of education & experience. CCP Certified

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Strong Excel skills, V-lookup's, Pivot tables and if then statements
  • Possess general understanding of applicable laws including FLSA and other related requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to present complex ideas to management
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Proven consulting skills; ability to drive business goals through HR / Compensation strategies and to address issues / devise solutions with creativity and innovation
  • Familiarity with compensation surveys and tools used to evaluate compensation packages, particularly in the technology market
  • Adaptable to change and ability to handle multiple projects at once
